LIGGITT Says ATTITUDE IS A CHOICE

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — ACE @ 10:37 pm

Your attitude can be exactly what you choose for it to be. When you turn your attitude over to other people or to random circumstances, it’s going to be volatile, undependable and not very productive. By contrast, when you choose your own attitude, independent of what’s happening around you, then you set yourself up to make swift and positive progress.

Your attitude serves as a lens through which you see life, and it’s best when that lens is focused on the positive possibilities. Your attitude can enable you to make the most of difficult situations, to find and to create enormous value in your world.

There is absolutely nothing that forces you to adopt one particular attitude over another. When you get in the habit of consciously choosing to have a positive, empowering attitude, you become gloriously free to achieve the things that are most meaningful to you.

Your attitude is always yours to select. Doesn’t it make sense to select an attitude that will foster peak performance and effectiveness no matter what may be going on around you?

Don’t let anyone or anything else control something as critically important as your attitude. Now, and always, choose an attitude that will enable you to soar high.

LiggittSphere Says HE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — ACE @ 4:00 pm

There is no shortage in the abundance of blessings we are promised as God’s children. We should expect to receive from Him if we believe the promises He’s given us in His Word. To believe otherwise is to show that we have no confidence in God’s word. This would indicate that we believe that He lied when He gave us these promises and throughout the Bible, we are told over and over again that God cannot lie.

Ephesians 3:20-21 says, “Our God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or even think, according to the power that works in us.” This power is our faith. Our faith in God!

It is by faith we receive from Him, for Jesus said, “According to your faith let it be unto you” (Matt 9:29). So where is your faith? God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that you can ask or even think!

If you are ever going to experience the fullness of God’s blessings in your life, you must absolutely believe in His ability, and willingness, to bless you outrageously.

Many people will say, “Well, it’s not all about me.” That’s exactly right. We were put here for God’s pleasure (Rev 4:11). What is his pleasure? To bless, care for, and prosper His children. We bring Him honor and glory when our lives are fruitful, for He takes pleasure in the prosperity of His children (Psalm 149:4).

If you know that God loves you, cares for you, and wants to bless you, doesn’t it make sense that you should believe Him for His best in your life?

Release your faith and believe Him for great things, for He is more than able and more than willing to give you the desires of your heart. Proverbs 10:24 says, “The desire of the righteous shall be granted.”

If He will give us the desires of our hearts, don’t you think He will go over and beyond our basic needs?

I love the story about the five loaves and two fish. A multitude of people followed Jesus up the mountain to hear Him preach and He knew they were hungry. Andrew searched around for some food and found a boy with some bread and two fish. Jesus blessed it, gave it to the disciples to distribute, and then it began to multiply! After all 5,000 people ate there were twelve basket fulls left over!

God is More than enought to meet our needs

LiggittSphere says IT’s Not Just a job

Filed under: Daily Thoughts — ACE @ 2:51 pm

Dear Friends,

For years,   Just think of it — everything is providential when every day, all day you “see” that God called you to that job for His purposes.

“The Call: Finding and Fulfilling the Central Purpose of Your Life” (Thomas Nelson Paperback, October, 2003) author Dr. Os Guinness attempts to clarify what it means to be “called” by God.  I recommend the book and customer reviews give it a 4.5 star rating out of 5 (Go to: http://www.amazon.com/Call-Finding-Fulfilling-Central-Purpose/dp/0849944376).

Guinness defines the call of God as, “the truth that God calls us to Himself so decisively that everything we are, everything we do, and everything we have is … lived out as a response to His summons and service.”  He proposes two types of calling from God — one is primary and the other is secondary.

Our primary calling involves following Christ in all we do.  Our secondary calling is using our personal gifts and abilities in order that God is glorified (our vocation).  The challenge, he says, is to keep these callings in the right order — in other words, not elevating our personal above our primary calling so that overemphasizing the “work ethic” dilutes the call of God to merely holding a job.

Do you tend to separate your “vocation” from your “calling?”  God calls us  *first*  to Himself — and then to activity.  Pray that God would demonstrate to you that your vocation is a calling so you more clearly see that everything you do is an opportunity to glorify God.

I Peter 2:9 - “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

In Christ
