As servants of God, we must learn to make room for Him-to give God “elbow room.” We plan and figure and predict that this or that will happen, but we forget to make room for God to come in as He chooses. Would we be surprised if God came into our meeting or into our preaching in a way we had never expected Him to come? Do not look for God to come in a particular way, but do look for Him. The way to make room for Him is to expect Him to come, but not in a certain way. No matter how well we may know God, the great lesson to learn is that He may break in at any minute. We tend to overlook this element of surprise, yet God never works in any other way. Suddenly— God meets our life “. . . when it pleased God . . . .”Keep your life so constantly in touch with God that His surprising power can break through at any point. Live in a constant state of expectancy, and leave room for God to come in as He decides.

LIGGITT Says GETTING OLDER ISN”T ALL BAD
they’ve had.)
- You don’t care so much what other people think.
- You realize that you can remain healthy by following disciplined, moderate routines. You learn that moderate habits can produce excellent results over the long term. Thirty minutes of daily exercise such as walking or lifting moderate weights can keep you in very good shape. A coke and a candy bar a day aren’t all bad.
- You appreciate your family more. After 30, and especially in your 40s, 50s and beyond, you come to appreciate your immediate and extended family. You enjoy getting together to reminisce about the “old days” as well as to catch up on what everyone is doing. Happy Birthday to GRAYSON and WILL THIS month.
- You don’t get caught up in the petty stuff.
- You realize that numerical age is not the most important thing. What matters is how you feel, mentally and physically.
- YOU can still run the ROCK
- You see your career differently.
8. It takes a lot more to get you angry.
9. You let other people be who they are - and you appreciate their differences.
10. YOU CAN LOVE AND ENJOY YOUR GRANDCHILDREN

LIGGITT Says BEING DISCIPLINED, HELPS YOUR SUCCESS
Discipline HELPS produces positive results. People who want to save money can achieve that goal. People who want to lose weight can lose weight . People who want to build aerobic capacity or muscle strength can accomplish that if they do certain things regularly. That’s the beauty of discipline. If you put in the effort, you will produce the positive result you’re looking for. It may take you longer or shorter than other people, but you’ll get significant results if you keep at it.
Discipline teaches you patience and perseverance. If you’re out of shape and begin a walking regimen, you may be able to walk a half-mile the first day. The second day you walk a half-mile and one block. The third day, you walk a half-mile and two blocks. You’re excited to be making progress each day, but you realize that it will take some time before you can walk five miles. You’re learning that most goals take time, and that there are no overnight successes. To many people today are looking for short cuts.
Discipline Helps you build momentum. When you make the commitment to follow a particular discipline, you’re going to be excited with the results you get. If you’re on a diet and lose ten pounds in the first two weeks, you’ll be motivated to continue. If you put aside 10% of your money from each paycheck into a savings account, you’re going to get a feeling of satisfaction from watching that account grow. But there’s a further bonus as well. After you make considerable progress in one area, you’ll be sold on the power of discipline. Your success will help you become more disciplined.
Discipline will help your self-esteem. You will feel better about yourself. There’s an added confidence, more spring in your step. With added self-esteem, you look better. You have more energy. You project confidence and attract many positive things into your life. At this point, some of you may be thinking: This all sounds Great.

LIGGITT Says YOU CAN MAKE A LASTING IMPRESSION
People are always watching
We don’t usually make a lasting impression when we’re trying to do so. Rather, it happens when we’re just living our lives and doing what may seem like ordinary, everyday things. Sure, there are some who make an enduring impact through great achievement or by being a celebrity. But lasting impressions are not reserved for famous people like Oprah Winfrey or Michael Jordan. They’re available to you and me - every day, every momen
While we can’t plan those encounters or situations that will create lasting impressions, we can be more aware of our behavior and the potential influence it may have. Too often, we live our lives on “automatic pilot,” that is, we do things out of habit without realizing the effect our actions might have on others. In many of these instances, our behavior does not match what we declare to be our values.
REMEMBER WE MAY ONLY HAVE TODAY!

LIGGITT Says BE A POSITIVE PERSON
People you work with your friends and family want to hear positive thoughts.
Replace words, such as “don’t,” “can’t,” “won’t,” and “not” with statements of what you do want. Instead of saying, “You can’t miss it,” say, “You’ll find it.” Instead of saying, “Don’t forget to register,” say, “Remember to register.”
It’s up to you to think before you speak.

LIGGITT Says PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF
What makes some people succeed where some fail.
Persistence
Persistence makes the difference between no achievement and great achievement. And persistence is available to all.
The enemy of persistence is that little voice you hear in your head that urges you to give up. When you hear that voice, remember that you don’t have to do what it says, and you don’t have to fight it either.
Remember often, with great detail and passion, why you’ve chosen to do what you’re doing. Keep your focus on the goal, and know that by continuing to progress on your journey, one step at a time, you’ll get there.
You have what it takes if you’ll simply choose to do what it takes and persist until the job is done.
LIGGITT Says Peresistence makes the difference.
