Liggitt says it is a new year and you want to set smart goals for 2009. Liggitt smart goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely.
Specific- You want to clearly define what you want to achieve.
Measurable-If you can’t measure it you can’t tell how your doing or when you have achieved your goal.
Attainable-Liggitt says a goal needs to stretch you so you can do it and it will also cause you to be committed to achieve it.
Realistic-Liggitt says this means the goal is do able. you need an action plan to achieve your goal.
Timely- Liggitt says your goal needs to have a target date. Achiving your goal by the end of 2009.
