For the next 2 weeks a Liggitt becomes a world traveler visiting Tokyo, Korea, Hong Kong Beijing and Shanghai.

There was another Liggitt birthday this week.  The Liggitt family all gathered at ACE and BIBI house and had a great time of celebration.

Today is a special day for the Liggitt family.  On 9-11-2001 our country was attacked however God protected the Liggitt family especially My oldest son and his wife along with my wife who were all in NY.

When you see the Stars and Stripes displayed, son, stand up and take off your hat. Somebody may titter. It is in the blood of some to deride all expression of noble sentiment. You may blaspheme in the street and stagger drunken in public places, and the bystanders will not pay much attention to you; but if you should get down on your knees and pray to Almighty God, or if you should stand bareheaded while a company of old soldiers marches by with flags to the breeze, some people will think you are showing off.

But don’t you mind! When Old Glory comes along, salute, and let them think what they please! When you hear the band play “The Star-Spangled Banner”

while you are in a restaurant or hotel dining room, get up even if you rise alone; stand there and don’t be ashamed of it, either!

For of all the signs and symbols since the world began there is none other so full of meaning as the flag of this country. That piece of red, white and blue bunting means five thousand years of struggle upward. It is the full-grown flower of ages of fighting for liberty. It is the century plant of human hope in bloom.

Your flag stands for humanity, for an equal opportunity to all the sons of men. Of course we haven’t arrived yet at that goal; there are many injustices yet among us, many senseless and cruel customs of the past still clinging to us, but the only hope of righting the wrongs of men lies in the feeling produced in our bosoms by the sight of that flag.

Other flags mean a glorious past, this flag a glorious future. It is not so much the flag of our fathers as it is the flag of our children, and of all children’s children yet unborn. It is the flag of tomorrow. It is the signal of the “Good Time Coming.” It is not the flag of your king it is the flag of yourself and of all your neighbors.

Don’t be ashamed when your throat chokes and the tears come, as you see it flying from the masts of our ships on all the seas or floating from every Flagstaff of the Republic. You will never have a worthier emotion. Reverence it as you would reverence the signature of the Deity.

Listen, son! The band is playing the national anthem “The Star-Spangled Banner!” They have let loose Old Glory yonder. Stand up and others will stand with you.

This tribute to the flag is offered to the country in appeal to all men and women of all races, colors and tongues, that they may come to understand that our flag is the symbol of liberty and learn to love it.

Walker and Eloise Liggitt and there parents paid a visit to Texas last weekend. The Liggitt family gathered at ACE and Bibi house. There was golf swimming and lots of fun games for all the kids. 

The most fun was seeing the Liggitt kids playing with there cousins. The Liggitt families are very blessed.

Will and Annalee Liggitt are coming for an overnight camp out at Ace and BIBI’s house.We are going to have big fun

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.

The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.

And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes.

The Liggitt Family wishes Bill Liggitt happy birthday today. My DAD is 90 years young. We celebrated by writing our special memories and times with POP POP.

Dad I hope your birthday is a fun day and this year is your best yet.

Will Liggitt is on vacation at ACE and Bibi’s. Will Liggitt has an outing every morning with Bibi. He is also is enjoying his evening swim with Ace. Liggitt always want to get some good exercise in everyday. Will is doing a great job of taking care of Jake the big Dog making sure he get several treats everyday. Will and his Cousin Grayson Liggitt are on an outing to the Aquarium today.

Will and Grayson both are looking forward to seeing there cousins Walker and Eloise Liggitt who are coming to visit soon.

Grayson Liggitt has spent his first night at Ace and Bibi’s. G Liggitt and Ace and Bibi went to the Purple Cow for dinner. Ace Liggitt says he can’t wait until the next time Grayson Liggitt spends the night.
